Our goal is to create movement in the housing market
Since the real estate crisis of the 1990s, Sweden has built too few new homes, especially in small and medium-sized towns. This has led to a stagnant housing market with low turnover, where older generations often stay in their homes longer than they would like, simply because attractive alternatives are not available to them.
We create movement in the housing market by building new homes in areas where existing housing options are outdated, less attractive, and require extensive maintenance. By introducing modern and low-maintenance residences in locations with high demand but limited supply, we offer all generations the opportunity to find appealing housing alternatives in places that have long been overlooked in housing policy and development.

A vision turned into reality: how the Sakofall journey began
Tom Sakofall, a passionate visionary driven by a strong sense of purpose, leaves nothing to chance. The journey began in 2014 with the acquisition of the very first property. Since then, several have been refined, redesigned, and sold—while others have been kept for long-term management within the company.
On one of these properties, an unused building right was discovered, leading to the launch of a project in October 2019 to build ten tenant-owned apartments. What began as a modest development quickly evolved into something greater. The construction process proved to be an inspiring journey, with strong demand emerging early on.
Today, with over 14 successful projects and an investment of more than SEK 500 million in rural areas, Sakofall has grown from an idea to a major player in real estate development. We don't just build homes, we create great places where people thrive and feel at home.
